We are aware that many resources are precious and only available in finite quantities. As a company that places family at the center of its business activities, Ernsting's family is particularly conscious of its responsibility in the area of resource management and drives forward a wide range of activities as part of its business operations aimed at the continuous reduction and conservation of our environment. The responsible use of energy and water resources in our stores and own properties is of great importance to us. Waste disposal, recycling, and reducing our carbon footprint are key areas of action here. Ernsting's family is the first nationwide store-based retailer in Germany to be successfully registered under the EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS), thereby also meeting the ISO 14001 standard at our sites, and we commit to annual independent audits as well as to the transparent publication of our environmental performance.
