Resources SUSTAINABLE STORE DELIVERY
Every year, our lorries cover around 8,000,000 kilometres to deliver to our stores. We ensure that our fleet always operates at an optimum level with regard to sustainability standards and are steadily increasing the proportion of vehicles with Euro 6E emission standard approval. At the same time, we are continuously assessing the extent to which zero-emission vehicles can be added to our fleet. We estimate that we will be able to make the first delivery routes to our stores emission-free in the next few years. Telematics systems are installed in the vehicles that analyse the respective driving style of our colleagues behind the wheel. The findings help us to offer individual eco-training to teach them to drive in a fuel-efficient way that generates fewer emissions. Our drivers are regularly trained by team leaders who have been trained as eco-trainers.
